जबलपुर, नर्मदा बचाओ आंदोलन की नेता मेधा पाटकर ने कहा है कि सरकार उद्योगपतियों के लिए आदिवासियों की जमीन छीनकर उन्हें बेघर कर रही है। जबलपुर में नर्मदा का व्यावसायीकरण एवं संरक्षण की चुनौती विषय पर बोलते हुए मेधा पाटकर ने कहा कि सरकार आदिवासी सम्मेलन करती है और आदिवासियों को पर्यावरण का संरक्षक बताती है, लेकिन आदिवासियों को ही खतम करने पर तुली है।

सीबीआई ने छत्तीसगढ़ में सुकमा जिले के ताड़मेटला में मार्च 2011 के 160 घरों में आग लगाने का दोषी सुरक्षा बलों को पाया है। सीबीआई ने अपनी जांच की स्टेटस रिपोर्ट सुप्रीम कोर्ट को सौंप दी है। इसी रिपोर्ट में उसने कहा है कि ताड़मेटला में आदिवासियों के 160 घरों को पुलिस और सुरक्षा बलों ने ही जलाया था।
