Showing the courage of conviction, over 15,000 students from Delhi University, Jawaharlal Nehru University and Jamia Milia Islamia took to the streets to demand the immediate release of Kanhaiya Kumar and lifting of false sedition charges against him. The evening of February 18, on the eve of his bail application before the SC, there was an outpouring of support for Kanhaiya.

They came from colleges across Delhi, assembled at Mandi House and marched to Jantar Mantar.

The air rang out with  slogans like " Kanhaiya Mera Yaar" and "Janwad Par Hamla Bandh Karo"..
