दरभंगा जिले के लहेरियासराय में एक बेबस पत्नी को ठंड के कारण प्राण त्यागने वाले पति के अंतिम संस्कार के लिए शव को ठेले पर रखकर सड़कों पर भीख मांगनी पड़ी। इस महिला का पति एक ठेला चालक था और घर में इतने पैसे भी नहीं थे कि अंतिम संस्कार किया जा सके। तब वहीं की स्थानीय पार्षद ने तीन हजार रूपये देकर महिला के पति का अंतिम संस्कार कराया।
