The students' struggle in JNU has raised a gamut of issues - from sedition, national/anti-national, free speech, self-determination and secularism to caste, culture, higher education, the role of the media (mainstream and social) and the judiciary, etc.
The core issue ,however,is nationalism. How is nationalism being defined today? Who is setting the agenda? How are the various political formations responding? In the face of an intolerant onslaught ,how do we articulate a democratic understanding and response ?
Join a discussion on Friday, Mar 4, at 3 pm at the BUJ hall, 23-25 Prospect Chambers Annexe,Pitha Street,Near Khadi Bhandar,Fort. The discussion will be led by Jairus Banaji.
All are welcome.
