भीम चलो!
27 साल पहले 1 मई 1990 को गरीब, किसान एवं मजदूर, राजसमन्द जिले के भीम में पाटिया का चौराहा पर एकत्रित हुए. एक साल तक मज़दूर किसान शक्ति संगठन के बनाने की आवश्यकता व प्रक्रिया पर चले विचार-विमर्श के बाद यह कार्यक्रम हुआ. राजस्थान के इस भाग में रहने वाले मजदूरों के लिए यह दिन खास महत्त्व का हो गया है. यह सभी लोग हर वर्ष एकजुटता अभिव्यक्त करने के लिए यहाँ एकत्रित होते हैं और शपथ लेते हैं कि आम आदमी के हितों से जुड़े मुद्दों पर मिलकर संघर्ष करेंगे.
हम इस मई दिवस (1 मई 2017, मजदूर दिवस) को हमारे साथ भीम के पाटियों के चौराहे पर मनाने के लिए आमंत्रित करते हैं. एम.के.एस.एस. की परंपरा के अनुसार यहाँ मजदूर मेला मनाया जायेगा और आने वाले साल के लिए सामूहिक रूप से किये जाने वाले काम की योजना तैयार की जाएगी. इस वर्ष अन्य विषयों के साथ राज्य और देश में जवाबदेही कानून लागू किये जाने, नरेगा को ठीक से चलाने, राशन से गरीबों के काट दिए गए नामों को पुनः जोड़ने व खाध्य सुरक्षा कानून के अन्तर्गत शिकायत-निवारण एवं पारदर्शिता लाए जाने, पेंशन, अवैध खनन एवं मजदूरों पर हो रहे अत्याचारों के खिलाफ संघर्ष को तेज करते हुए आगे ले जायेंगे. मगरा क्षेत्र में शराब की अवैध और वैध दुकानों की वजह से महिलाएँ और बच्चे परेशान हैं क्यूँकि शराब की बढ़ती लत की वजह से ना सिर्फ़ उनके साथ होने वाली घरेलू हिंसा में वृद्धि हुई है बल्कि बच्चों के भविष्य के साथ खिलवाड़ हो रहा है। इसीलिए इस वर्ष शराब-बंदी की लड़ाई को विभिन्न पंचायतों में लड़ने के साथ-साथ नीति-गत आधार पर भी लड़ा जाएगा।
खुली चर्चा में अपनी कहानिया, आशाएं व चुनौतियों को भी सबके सामने रखेंगे. मेले में कई प्रकार की चीजें बिक्री के लिए होंगी जैसे कपडे, खिलौने, सस्ता खाना, साथ में नाच-गान और हँसी-मज़ाक़ का दौर भी चलेगा. इन सभी संघर्षों में आप शामिल रहे हैं, इसलिए आप जरुर एकजुटता के साथ ज़रूर इस बार मई मेले में पधारें।
आपके कितने सदस्य कब यहाँ आयेंगे इसकी पूर्व सूचना देंगे तो हम आपके ठहराने की उचित व्यवस्था कर पाएंगे. यात्रा व्यय आपको वहन करना होगा परन्तु भोजन सस्ती दर पर मिलेगा.
पाटियों का चौड़ा भीम पहुँचने के लिए- दिल्ली-मुंबई राष्ट्रीय राजमार्ग संख्या 8 (NH 8) पर ब्यावर के दक्षिण में ब्यावर से 65 किलोमीटर की दूरी पर स्थित है. दिल्ली अहमदाबाद रेल मार्ग पर ब्यावर बड़ा स्टेशन है. अगर आप फ़ोन पर बात करना चाहें तो नीचे कुछ फ़ोन नम्बर्स दिए जा रहे हैं उन पर संपर्क किया जा सकता है.

Through this letter, we invite you to join the MKSS for celebrating “May Day” on the 1st of May 2017.
On the 1st of May 1990, 27 years ago, poor peasants and workers collected at Patia ka Chowda ,Bhim, Rajsamand District- after a year of deliberations about the need to organize and struggle- to form the Mazdoor Kisan Shakti Sangathan (MKSS). This day has become an important day for workers in this part of Rajasthan. We come together every year to express our solidarity and take a pledge to work together to struggle for common, stated concerns.
We invite you to celebrate May day (Labour Day) with us, this year (1st May 2017) at the Patia Ka Chowda, Bhim. In continuation of the MKSS tradition, the Mazdoor Mela will be a celebration and a day for collectively defining the themes for public action for the coming year. This year, amongst other issues, we will make plans for deepening the struggles for Jawabdehi, Bhagidari and Social Audits Bill 2016 (prepared by the Soochana evam Rozgar Adhikar Abhiyan, Rajasthan), better implementation of MGNREGA, Food Security Act, 2013, universal pensions, the free medicine scheme by making effective use of the RTI.
In the recent past, several local struggles/movments have emerged in our area (Rajsamand and also nearby areas) where women and also children have come forward to raise their voices against the increased violence due to the liquor menace in our area. They have come forward strongly to demand the shutting down of the illegal liquor shops and also to ensure that villages where the villagers
want
liquor licenses
to be suspended
for their villages, their
demands should be immediately accepted
. This fight being waged by women against the various problems being amplified by the liquor menace is also going to be the plank of this year’s May Day Mela.We will also share our stories, anecdotes, challenges, hopes, and concerns in an open public meeting. This will happen amidst the bustle of a mela- the sale of clothes, toys and food (at cost price) with dance, music and laughter.
We would welcome prior information of your travel plans and the number of people likely to attend, so that we can make your stay more comfortable. You will have to bear your travel costs, but food will be available at inexpensive rates.
The Mela will begin at 9.30 am with a rally from the Tehsil office in Bhim to the Patiyon Ka Chowda mela grounds. Do please join the rally and come straight to the Tehsil office if possible.
